Well, my name is Kurtis Henderson. I am 15 and play horn at Douglas
Anderson School of the Arts. I will most likely be 5th or 6th chair in the
Symphonic band next year. We have been invited to the Midwest Music Festival

I don't own my own horn yet. I have the school's newest horn, a Holton 179. It has a bright, round sound. Hey, if you have any good tips, let me know. I have tons I like to share. Also, if you want the best horn cd in the world, get Audition: Improbable.
It is hilarious!!!!!!! It is about a rising horn player in a live audition (not real, of course) and they show, by example how NOT to play stuff. I learned alot, and it was funny.

I have been playing horn since my freshman year in high school. I am just finishing my first year at college and I am planning to be a Profesional French Horn player someday or teach horn. I know I have a long way to go but it is all worth it in the lon

The Horn is probably the most difficult instrument in the band (sorry, oboeists). What other instrument can play the same note with 5 or 6 different fingerings? A good private instructor is a necessity if you are going to major in Horn in college. Keep
